Google Fusion

Yesterday, Google unveiled a new feature named “Google Personalized Homepage” or Google Fusion.

Google Fusion

If you want to use it, you’ll need a Google Account. I already had a Google Account through the creation of my Gmail account.

This new Google feature is something I’ve wanted for a long time. While I like the fact that the Google page is simple and non-cluttered, this gives me the chance to add extra, useful stuff on my homepage. I’ve never closely followed my DaimlerChrysler stocks (because DaimlerChrysler is sucking so much ass lately that it’s not even funny). Now with the quotes on my homepage, I can always get a quick oversight of the level of suckage of my DCX stocks on a daily basis. I also threw GOOG and MSFT in there because I like to pay attention to how these two companies are doing even though I don’t own any stocks from them.

Furthermore, the weather feed was one of the things that really made this interesting for me, especially considering the fact that I live in Florida, one of the most unpredictable places in the world when it comes to weather. By the way, if you use Firefox, there is an extremely well done extension that gives you up to the minute weather information from, check out Forcastfox.

I’ve already sent some suggestions to Google regarding some of the annoyances I’m experiencing with the Google Personalized Homepage. You can do so too.
