Haitian Landmarks

Ok, so these aren’t all landmarks but rather widely known buildings in Haiti. If you lived in Haiti (Port-au-Prince), some of them sould be familiar to you.

Valerio Canez
Bojeux & Sun Auto
Palais National
Aeroport Int’l de Mais Gaté (You Can Zoom Further In)

hey.. i was just looking for something from haiti. when i bumped into your blog by chance. i lived there for two years when i was a kid and i still have vivid memories of the place. i really love kenscoff. and i do miss banan pese, pate, griot, akra, k-dis, eagle market, etc. i was hoping of finding my teacher in the american school there but i forgot her first name. (we call her mrs. girault) anyway, i hope that you have a great time. nice blog by the way.

I’m stunned that you still remember all of that just from two years of living there. You must have very good memory, that’s good.

PS: The eagle market moved from Delmas 83. A lot of stuff has changed. So what brought you to Haiti?

The Valerio Canez photo is interesting because it shows the huge construction site of the new American Embassy in Port-au-Prince
